Intensive Terms and Conditions

The One Summer Dance Intensive

The following intensive terms and conditions apply to any project organised by Dance ARTISTS International which can be booked through our website.

Generally

  • Dance ARTISTS International reserves the right to alter the advertised auditions, intensive or projects including the faculty without prior notice. Where possible, alterations will be published on the website.
  • By signing up to our audition, intensive or projects participants are agreeing they are fit and well enough to take part and take full responsibility for their personal well-being.

Audition applications

  • All applications will be dealt with in order of receipt.
  • We reserve the right not to process incomplete applications.
  • You are advised not to book travel unless you have received written confirmation of acceptance following the audition process.
  • By submitting an application, you agree that all details you provide to us are correct.

Intensive offers

  • If we made an offer following the audition process, the fee should be paid within thirty days after the date of the offer letter.  If the fee has not been paid by the indicated date, the offer will revoked and given to a successful applicant on the waiting list.

Intensive

  • Only water in plastic or metal bottles may be taken in to the studios.
  • Participants will be divided into three groups to reflect the age and dance experience.
  • We reserve the right to amend the repertory classes to reflect the availability of the faculty. We do not guarantee that any particular choreographer’s work will be taught during any week of the intensive.
  • Final schedule will be provided to participants on the first day of the Intensive.
  • All participants must have health and liability insurance.

Intensive content

  • Participants will be divided into one of three groups based on their dance experience. We may consider placement of a participant in another group during the intensive if deemed necessary.
  • We reserve the right to amend the repertory classes to reflect the availability of the faculty.  We do not guarantee the choreographer or which of his/her works will be taught in the repertory classes during any week of the intensive.
  • We reserve the right to amend the faculty roster in the event of illness or any other unavoidable cause.
  • Final schedule will be provided to participants on the first day of the Intensive.

Code of conduct 

  • All project participants will receive a Code of Conduct in their confirmation pack and/or will attend an induction at the beginning of the intensive at which the Code of Conduct will be explained to them. Failure to observe the Code of Conduct may result in participants being asked to leave. 

Photography and recordings

  • Recording or photography, with or without flash is strictly forbidden by all participants or visitors to the auditions or the intensive.
  • Wereserve the right for third parties to carry out general filming, photography and sound recording in or around the buildings. 
  • By booking an audition or participating in the intensive, the participant consents to be photographed or sound recorded and to the commercial exploitation of such film or recording without any right to payment.  Any participant who objects to being photographed or recorded must indicate this by contacting us by email prior to the event.

Cancellations

  • We reserve the right to cancel the intensive up to a month before the start date.  Full refund of fees will be made in these circumstances.
  • We reserves the right to refuse admission to any participants prior to, or during an audition, the intensive or any of our projects on reasonable grounds including health and safe. In this instance, no refund will be given.

Withdrawals and refunds

  • Once the intensive has commenced there will be no refunds for withdrawals.  Reasons for withdrawals can include injury/illness, homesickness, visa applications, and personal or family reasons.

60 – 30 80% refund of the tuition fees. A 20% handling fee will be retained.

  • Dance ARTISTS International reserves the right to refuse admission to any participants prior to, or during an audition, the intensive or any of our projects on reasonable grounds including health and safe. In this instance, no refund will be given.

Notice of withdrawal from courses

  • Notification of withdrawal must be put in writing (email is acceptable – the-one@danceartistsinternational.org), after which an acknowledgement will be issued. Refunds will be based on the date of receipt of the withdrawal notification email.  Dance ARTISTS International takes no responsibility for non-receipt of emails.

Insurance

  • Participants are advised to consider taking out insurance against withdrawal due to injury/illness or requiring medical treatment or hospitalisation; or due to personal or family reasons which might prevent them completing the course. Participants with an existing injury or condition attend at their own risk.

Personal property

  • Dance ARTISTS International cannot be held responsible for any personal property.
